The first and greatest commandment is that we love God with everything that we are. This means loving God is more than going to church on Sunday and singing praise and worship. It's a lifestyle! It's devoting your entire life to being a His child. Living by faith and obedience to His commands, His Word and to His ultimate will for your life. This is truly loving God. Giving Him all of your heart and showing it with your life. First and foremost, God has called us to a loving and everlasting relationship with Him. Nothing is to ever take place of this in our lives, ever! Once we begin to make this a priority in our lives we will quickly recognize areas where maybe we need to be loving God, instead of ourselves. Make God a part of everything you say and do. Give Him more than just fifteen minutes a day of devotional time. Give Him all of your time and include without throughout your entire day. This is the most important purpose in the life of a believer and for the life of the church.
